Shoalhaven Family Day Care

Teena, an Educator at Shoalhaven Family Day Care, describes her best practice approach to teaching physical activity in the family day care setting. Her flexible play spaces support children of various ages to develop a range of physical abilities at their own pace.

Teena reflects on how Munch & Move has helped her to combine intentional teaching and role-modelling with play-based learning experiences. This allows the children to learn and practice fundamental movement skills. Her focus on helping children problem solve during play assists them to develop confidence in their own bodies, while having positive and fun experiences!
